UMYF ACTIVITIES
There are several opportunities for FUN and FELLOWSHIP every month!

YEARLY EVENTS
ROCK Conference in Ocean City: a weekend in February.

30Hour Famine: Fundraiser, Service Activity, and Lock in all in one: Spring
​
CREATION FESTIVAL: a 5 days Christian Music Festival with 35,000 other christians, over 40 bands and over 12 speakers: June- July
​
VBS Help: Helping with many different aspects of VBS: July
​
Youth Sunday: The day of the Youth take over the Sunday Service planning for every service at WUMC
​

MONTHLY EVENTS
5th grade Dances: The UMYF holds and chaperones dances for community 5th graders.
​
Service Project Sundays: Students will work on various projects to help those in our community.

Lock-Ins: at least 3 times a year there will be a UMYF Lock in: Games, Worship, Movies from 7pm until 9am
​
Retreats: A weekend away with lessons, games, hiking, camping, etc
​
Other Fun Events: Pool Parties, Car Washes, Mini Golf, Laser Tag, Paintball, etc!

UMYF at Creation Festival 2016 - Fringe Stage
SERVICE
IN THE
COMMUNITY
Every 4-6 weeks the UMYF will participate in some sort of service project for the church, the local community, or the global community.
​
Some times these projects are incorporated into the weekly Sunday Meetings, and sometimes they are on additional days.
​
Past Projects Include:
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
Planting Trees for Carroll County
Blankets and breakfast foods for Cold Weather Shelter
Serving Lunch to hungry residents in the Park
Writing Cards to local shut-ins
Assiting with egg stuffing and hiding for egg hunt
